FIRST STEPS: Beginning Meditation
A five-week course on meditation and mindful living

Learn how to change your habits, sleep better and live more mindfully.

In this 5-week course you’ll learn the foundational practices of mindfulness including sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful movement, mindful communication and loving kindness practice. We’ll also talk about the physiology of stress and how to alleviate it. You’ll leave with reliable tools for staying steady in the face of life’s challenges.

The path to successful meditation includes regular practice. We’ll talk about how to establish a steady meditation practice and how to deal with the obstacles that arise. You’ll also be given short homework assignments to wake up your mindful awareness.
