Heart Intelligence

Emotional Wisdom for Healing

Is your cancer experience leaving you feeling stuck in anxiety, frustration, and fear? Do you suffer almost as much – or even more – from your worry and anxiety as from the disease itself?

This course will help you learn how to work with these difficult emotions.

Over the course of 6 weeks, we’ll look at how your mental-emotional wiring can be optimized to support your energy, vitality, and immune system.

We’ll talk about the hard science behind this soft, squishy stuff. For instance, research shows that a consistent heart practice (like loving-kindness) can:

  • reduce stress
  • reduce inflammation
  • help you feel more connected to others (researchers says it matters!)

We’ll look at how your mind and heart dialogue. Are they friends, enemies, or just not speaking to each other at all? Is your heart in deep freeze or is it running the show? You’ll learn how to wake up your heart’s power.

We’ll discuss how strong healing emotions, like joy, compassion, equanimity, and gratitude, relate to:

  • Resilience – your ability to adapt quickly and effectively
  • Embodiment – aware of inner experiences and external conditions simultaneously
  • Interiority – discerning the difference between sensations, thoughts, and emotions
  • Being “resourced”– well rested, nourished, and emotionally supported
  • Interoception – awareness and understanding of your body’s messages

You’ll learn strategies for dealing with fear, negative “what if” thinking, and your unique emotional triggers.
